In Turkey, all rental contracts will be digitized by the end of 2024. A new application is being introduced to prevent disputes between tenants and landlords. Contracts will have to be concluded using the e-devlet electronic service.

Old-style contracts will lose their legal validity.

The main cause of disputes between tenants and landlords is the cost of rent and its changes. Thanks to the new system, the rights of both parties will be protected. The electronic contract will become evidence in price disputes between tenants and landlords.

“Since contracts will be registered, price control will now become easier to exercise. Property owners will be able to calculate and pay taxes at more accurate prices when they log in. Tax portions will be auditable,” says real estate expert Emra Nid.

Recall, earlier for rental disputes was introduced the position of a mentor, which tries to reconcile the parties and avoid the court.
