On August 30, Turkey hosted large-scale celebrations in honor of the 99th anniversary of the Victory over the Greek occupation forces at Dumlupinar.
In Alanya, the holiday was greeted with enthusiasm. As part of the festive program, developed in cooperation with the municipality and city council of Alanya, the Lantern Regiment was organized, and a convoy of cars drove through the city.
The program was attended by the mayor of Alanya Adem Murat Yudzhel, the chairman of the city council of Alanya Nurkhan Ozjan, representatives of state institutions, heads of chambers, elders and politicians, as well as hundreds of townspeople.
The celebrations ended with a procession with lanterns, which started on Iskele Street and ended at the monument to Ataturk.
