Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has decided on the date of the elections. The other day he signed a decree in which he confirmed the previous date – May 14. This is reported by the official Gazette of the Government of Turkey.

On March 11, the country’s central election committee began planning a 2-month calendar for presidential and parliamentary elections.

The main rival of the president in the upcoming elections is the leader of the Republican People’s Party, Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

Let us remind you, that after the earthquake on February 6, the election commission recommended to postpone the elections for at least six months. The attention of all authorities was drawn to providing assistance to the affected regions.
