Foreigners have invested over $ 3.3 billion in Turkish real estate

In the first 11 months of last year, the Republic of Turkey received $9.2 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI). Real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey for the same period amounted to 36% of the total FDI inflow, which is more than $3.3 billion. Such data was released by the International Association of Investors (YASED).

56% of FDI during these months came from EU countries. Investments from Middle Eastern countries amounted to 18%. According to the YASED report, FDI inflows for the first 11 months of 2023 decreased by 27% compared to 2022.

During November 2023, $1.3 billion was invested in the country. In the same month, Turkey recorded FDI of $642 million – driven by equity inflows. Sales to foreign nationals totaled $256 million. And another $410 million came into the treasury through debt instruments.
