According to the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, geologists have discovered a powerful gas field near Bali.
Earlier in the same area Italian geosurveyors found reserves of 140 billion cubic meters. General Director for Oil and Gas of the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Tutuka Ariaji noted that the new gas field found north of Bali is expected to be almost the same as the one found by the Italians.
Blue fuel has not yet been extracted from the field. A lot of research and expertise is needed. Indonesia continues to improve the investment climate and attracts multinational corporations to the country, which have special technologies for extraction.
At the moment the following companies are already working in Indonesia: “ExxonMobil”, “Chevron”, “Shell”, “Total” and others. They account for up to 70% of developments.
