Alanya announced the collection of applications for qualification of beaches for the international award “Blue Flag”. According to the press service of the municipality, accept applications for the prestigious status will be until December 8, 2023.
To put the “Blue Flag” beach must meet a number of high requirements. The coastal zone and the bottom of the beach must be clean. Also on the beach must be: a lifeguard station, shower, places for changing, resting, place to buy water, toilet.
In Antalya in 2023 there were more than 220 beaches with “Blue Flag”. This figure is the highest not only in Turkey, but also in the world.
As the mayor of Alanya noted, the number of beaches meeting high standards should be increased in 2024. This will give an additional inflow of tourists and increase the attractiveness of the city.
