In the south of Turkey, in the city of Antakya (Antioch), excavations are underway. Archaeologists work at the St. Peter’s Cave Church. This is one of the oldest monuments of Christianity and a landmark of the city.
In the future, it is planned to create an open-air museum here. Now all the artifacts that scientists find can be viewed in the Hatay Archaeological Museum.
The church is a museum, but it is possible to perform church rituals here under the supervision of museum workers, having received prior permission from the municipality administration.
