Taxes, fees and fines from citizens in Turkey will increase by about 60%. Milligazete writes about it. The government is going to replenish the state treasury in 2024 by 253.5 billion TL, at the expense of taxes.

Fees will increase and prices for the certificate of ownership will rise, notary fees will be raised. Those who want to speed up the process of title deeds and notarized transactions should hurry up.

Fines for traffic violations will increase. The fee for obtaining a driver’s license and passport will increase, payment for technical inspection of vehicles will rise. It is expected that the growth will amount to almost 60%.

The fine for running a red light will be 1,506 TL, for improper parking 690.89 TL, for speeding from 10 to 30 percent will increase to 1,506 TL, and for speeding the fine will increase by more than 50 percent to 6,439 TL. Driving under the influence of alcohol will cost from 6,439 TL to 12,977 TL.

A passport will cost 2,396 TL for one year, 3,912 TL for two years, and 7,832 TL for five years.

In 2024, the IMEI registration fee for phones brought from abroad will increase to 31,692 TL. In 2023, it is set at 20,000 TL.
