Foreign citizens continue to be interested in Turkish real estate. In January 2023 foreigners bought 4,161 housing units. Such data is provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
The leaders in the purchase of real estate in Turkey again became the citizens of Russia, who purchased 1557 objects. The second and third places are held by the Iranians and Iraqis with 526 and 229 purchased residences. They are followed by citizens of Ukraine (157 housing units) and Kazakhstan (155 properties). In addition, housing in Turkey was bought by citizens of Germany, England, China, Egypt and other countries.
Foreigners chose Antalya (592 objects), Istanbul (380 apartments) and Mersin (331 residences) to buy real estate.
The share of sales to foreigners amounted to 4.3% of the total volume of real estate.
