Istanbul Airport served an average of 1,375 flights per day last year, which is more than the number of flights of any European airport. In 2023, the average daily number of flights at Turkey’s main air harbor increased by 19%.
Istanbul Airport retains the title of busiest airport for the second year in a row. The second place is occupied by Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam with 1,255 flights per day, the third place is occupied by Heathrow in London with 1,251 flights, and the fourth place is occupied by Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with 1,247 flights.
