In Turkey, in February 2023, more than 80 thousand properties were sold. In the first two months of this year, sales decreased by 4% year on year. This information was provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
Istanbul is the leader in real estate sales. Nearly 15,000 housing purchase and sale transactions were completed there. This is 18.7% of the total volume of objects sold. In second place is Ankara with 8.2 thousand properties sold. The third place is occupied by Izmir, where 5.3 thousand housing units were bought.
Antalya is the leader in sales of real estate to foreigners. Most of the housing there was purchased by citizens of Russia.
In total, since the beginning of 2023, 177,000 properties have been sold in Turkey.
