More than 1 million 5 thousand tourists visited Antalya in the first three months of 2024, which is a historical record. This is 25.6% more than in the same period last year. Such data is given by Antalya Culture and Tourism Department.
Despite the fact that the season on the Mediterranean coast has not yet begun, the number of vacationers in Antalya is growing. Thus, in March this year, more than 505 thousand tourists visited the resorts of the region.
This year the leaders in tourist flow were citizens of Germany. For the first quarter in Antalya rested 279.8 thousand tourists from this country. The growth of tourist flow amounted to 65% compared to last year. But the number of Russians in the resorts of Antalya decreased by 19.4%, amounting to 171.7 thousand people. The third place was occupied by tourists from Great Britain – 124.6 thousand people. Also in the top five were citizens of Poland and Iran.
