The law on the establishment of the Turkish Archeology and Cultural Heritage Foundation was published in the Official Gazette of the Government of the country. The headquarters of the new fund will be located in Ankara. The organization will deal with issues of culture and art that have existed throughout the centuries in Turkey. The foundation will also study anthropology, epigraphy, numismatics, Turkish and Islamic archeology and cultural heritage. This is not only about Turkey, but also about mutual cultural influence with Europe, the Middle East, the Balkans, the Mediterranean, the Caucasus, etc.

The Foundation will oversee the opening of libraries and museums in these areas. And also – cooperation in the field of culture and archaeological excavations in Turkey and abroad.

Turkey is located in the center of the intersection of many ancient civilizations. It is here that the most ancient monuments are located, such as Gobekle Tepe, Karakhan Tepe, etc.
