In January 2023, Turkey’s total exports increased by 10.4% compared to the same period last year. The amount of exports amounted to almost $19.4 billion, which is a record for this month. The share of manufactured goods in Turkey’s export basket was 70.6%. And the volume of exports of the industrial sector grew in January by 4.5% year on year. Turkey’s industrial sector continues to break export records. In the first month of 2023, 10 out of 16 industries posted increased numbers.
Germany and Russia bought the most Turkish goods. Germany purchased ready-made clothes for $304.3 million, and cars and spare parts for $412.5 million.
