The citizenship for investment program in Turkey is recognized as one of the best in the world. The day before Henley & Partners published its annual ranking of obtaining residence permits and citizenship for investment. Turkey took the sixth place in this list.
Large investors, government officials and independent experts from different countries take part in the formation of the rating. Obtaining citizenship through investment is evaluated by several criteria: freedom of movement, standard of living, minimum investment costs. In addition, the timing of citizenship, family options and security checks are taken into account.
For each criterion, experts give countries a score from 0 to 10. This year the table of the best citizenship-for-investment programs included 13 countries. Some of them took the same places. Malta took the first place, followed by Austria. The third place was shared by Grenada and St. Lucia. On the fourth place were the countries of Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis. Dominican Republic rounds out the top five. Turkey overtook Egypt, Jordan, Vanuatu, Cambodia and Egypt.
